A trail of bloody footprints..
An empty swing swaying half heartedly in the whistling breeze.
A forlorn broken slide.
Roundabouts splattered crimson.
All creaking and wailing, mourning their beloved lost souls.
A piercing echo of a child’s last laugh..

The most shocking fact about war is that its victims and its instruments are individual human beings, and that these individual beings are condemned by the monstrous conventions of politics to murder or be murdered in quarrels not their own.

This poem is…necessary. It has a sense of anger behind it. I wish there wasn’t any conflict in the world, but unfortunately there is. And the saddest thing is how it is the innocents who suffer the most.

It angers me that the innocent are lost due to the violence of criminals, and our soldiers killed in battle.

Powerful imagery here, and so sad. No child (nor human) should evet have to witness such violence.

I honestly don’t understand how human beings can be so cruel and selfish… How can a human being hate another one only because of his religion or nationality?
